Material Comparison
Side-by-side comparison tables for nickel alloys: Incoloy 825, Inconel 625 and Hastelloy C276. Chemical composition, mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and cost comparison.
Incoloy 825 vs Inconel 625
825 is optimized for sulfuric and phosphoric acid resistance with copper addition. 625 is the higher-strength option with niobium for fatigue resistance to 980°C. Both handle severe corrosion but for different environments.
Compare MaterialsInconel 625 vs Hastelloy C276
C276 carries 15-16.5% molybdenum plus tungsten, giving PREN > 65 and best-in-class resistance to reducing acids and wet chloride. 625 trades some of that for a niobium-strengthened matrix (yield ≥ 414 vs ≥ 283 MPa) and better high-temperature oxidation resistance. Choose C276 for aggressive reducing acids, 625 where strength and thermal service dominate.
