Petrochemical
Corrosion-Resistant Piping for Chemical Processing Plants

Industry Overview
Petrochemical plants process hydrocarbons into thousands of intermediate and final products under the most demanding chemical conditions — aggressive acids, high temperatures, and extreme pressures. TOKO TECH provides a complete range of stainless steel and nickel alloy pipes, tubes, fittings, and flanges engineered to resist corrosion from sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, caustic soda, and organic solvents across ethylene crackers, reformers, and downstream derivative units.
Key Challenges
Sulfuric Acid Corrosion
Concentrated sulfuric acid at elevated temperatures attacks standard stainless steels rapidly. Incoloy 825 with its copper addition provides exceptional resistance in alkylation and sulfonation units.
Chloride-Induced Pitting
Trace chlorides in process streams and cooling water cause pitting corrosion in 304/304L. 316L or duplex 2205 is specified wherever chlorides are present above 200 ppm.
High Temperature Oxidation
Ethylene crackers and reformers operate above 800°C. Inconel 625 and Incoloy 800H provide outstanding creep strength and oxidation resistance for furnace tubes and headers.
Mixed Acid Environments
Process streams frequently contain mixtures of acids — sulfuric, nitric, and organic acids simultaneously. Hastelloy C-276 provides universal corrosion resistance in these unpredictable environments.
TOKO TECH Solutions
Incoloy 825 for Acid Service
Incoloy 825 seamless pipes with controlled copper content (1.5-3.0%) deliver reliable performance in sulfuric and phosphoric acid environments where standard stainless grades fail. Available from 1/8" to 6" OD.
Hastelloy C-276 Reactor Piping
For the most aggressive mixed-acid environments in pharmaceutical intermediates and specialty chemicals, Hastelloy C-276 pipe and fittings offer near-universal corrosion resistance with PREN >65.
Duplex 2205 Heat Exchanger Tubes
Duplex 2205 provides the optimal balance of strength, thermal conductivity, and chloride pitting resistance for shell-and-tube heat exchangers in petrochemical cooling and condensation service.
Seamless 316L Process Piping
ASTM A312 316L seamless pipe in schedules 10S through XXS for general chemical transfer lines, with full PMI verification and intergranular corrosion testing per ASTM A262 Practice E.
